How Do I Sign Up?

Come, go with us! We always have a wonderful time, and you'll have so much fun! You'll see and learn so much , and your view of the world will expand more that you thought possible! You'll never be quite the same again...

Just do these easy steps, and I will help you:

1. Contact me, Carolyn Henson, and express your interest.

There is no obligation to just call and chat!

2. I will get you a trip application to fill out.

This is an easy half-sheet of contact info.

3. Make your initial trip deposit of $500 per person.

Depending on how soon it is until we leave, the balance may be made in monthly payments, or it may be due soon. Checks should be made to Red Umbrella Tours. You can mail them to me at:

4. Check your passport. It must be good 6 months after your return.

Give me your exact name as it appears on your passport , and the passport number. I need this to make our flight reservations.

5. If you need to get a passport, get started right now, because it can take 3 months.

a. Go get your passport pictures taken. Sam's Club or Costco will do it for $5, Walmart is a little more, and Inkley's is $14. They will give you 2 copies on special thin paper.

b. You need to fill out a passport application. You can get this at larger post offices, or I can give you one.

c. Make a copy of your birth certificate. You are going to have to send in your original, which you will get back.  This is just in case. . .

d. Take the completed application, your original birth certificate, any previous passport, and your 2 photos to a larger post office. If you are a minor, you will also need to take your parent with you. Some post offices may require you to have an appointment, because it will take about 45 minutes. The cost is about $95 and they will mail off all the info for you.

e. Wait 10 weeks - 3 months. This takes longer now than it used to, because everyone needs a passport even just to cross into Canada or Mexico. A passport is also required for cruises.

f.  Your new passport and your original birth certificate will be mailed back to you.

g. Sign your new passport!
